Russian Easter Picnic 2011

What a beautiful day we had today! The weather went nice and so we could have an Easter picnic celebrating Russian Orthodox Easter.

Many parents brought Easter cakes and coloured eggs in beautiful baskets some of them were blessed in the Church the night before. Someone brought Russian pirojki. The food was all delicious !

Children enjoyed playing Easter hunt and games. We played parachute, had a little puppet show “Jily u babusi” and  children performed Kurochka Ryaba with the youngest 3 year old Jana acting as a mouse.
